Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. Some content is intended for mature audiences only. By using the Service you confirm you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.

You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms.

Parts of the Service are free; others require a subscription, coins, or a one-time purchase. Prices, billing periods and included content are shown before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by those stores and are governed by their payment and refund policies. Cancel through the store account settings before the end of the current billing period; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to stream and, where offered, temporarily download audio content for your own private, non-commercial listening. You may not copy, record, resell, broadcast, publicly perform, or redistribute any content, and you may not circumvent any technical protections.

All audio series, cover art, text, trademarks, software and other materials in the Service are owned by Inkitt or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership to you.

You agree not to:

• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of third-party rights;
• scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract source code or audio files;
• share, resell or provide access to your account to others;
• interfere with the security or normal operation of the Service;
• upload or transmit malware, spam, or abusive, harassing or illegal content.

If you submit reviews, comments, feedback or other materials, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce and display them in connection with the Service. You are responsible for what you submit and confirm you have the rights to it.

The Service may link to or rely on third-party services such as app stores, payment processors and analytics providers. We are not responsible for those services, and your use of them is subject to their own terms.

We continually improve the Service and may add, change, suspend or remove features or content at any time. We may also update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app or on this page, and continued use after the changes take effect means you accept them.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that specific content will remain available.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Inkitt is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or loss of data, profits or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Munich, Germany have jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
